Synopsis:
Dr. Janet Fraser and her husband Kevin are scoping out exciting tours for their clients back home and have brought along Janet's daughter, Melanie. They meet with Patrick who takes them to Mount Extreme despite a warning from a native Maori elder not to go to the mountain. Once there, Janet discovers a scientific facility with evidence that the mountain is becoming more active. That night, Melanie and a new friend, Jason, get lost on a hike. Janet's growing concerns about the mountain results in an evacuation plan. Meanwhile, Kevin finds and rescues Melanie and Jason from a cave as they wait for a helicopter to save the trio all before the mountain explodes.
