Synopsis:
An asteroid is on a collision course with the Earth and only one woman, Dr. Madison Taylor, knows the terrible truth. But how can she stop it in just 24 hours?
With the clock ticking, she rushes to friend and colleague, Dr. Michael Covington, who arranges for her to meet the Chairman of Project Safe Skies, a secret military project rumored to have an asteroid-busting laser. The Chairman chooses to ignore her warnings. Desperate, she turns to retired Major Richard Donovan, who developed the prototype. After initial hesitancy, she realizes he must help her in her impossible task.
Joined by their trusted associates, they develop a plan. First, they must sneak into Fort Kirk, where the laser is housed. Then, Donovan will fire it and try to destroy the asteroid. It won't be easy and they're nearly out of time. Can a small group of scientists armed only with their courage and intelligence beat the clock and save the planet?
